"Jason and his Argonauts set sail to find the Golden Fleece. The journey is filled with danger, for him and everyone he meets. But if he ever reaches the distant land he seeks, he faces almost certain death.

Medea – priestess, witch, and daughter of a brutal king – has the power to save the life of a stranger. Will she betray her family and her home, and what will she demand in return?"

So, there are shitty husbands, and then there is Jason. A shitty husband doesn't even begin to describe him. In this story he has it all, and destroys it all, just by being a selfish, tiny little man. Medea isn't perfect by any means, but compared to Jason she is a saint. All together this story of them is gripping and ruthless, filled with tears and destroyed lives.

Once again Natalie Haynes is on fire. She is fierce and strong and quick with words, a modern day female Homeros making sure, that for once the voices of women in greek mythology are heard (and also the voices of some birds. I am so here for the birds in her stories). I just can't get enough of her books, especially these audiobooks that she reads herself. Her voice acting is on the spot all through the book. Combined with her witty words, the result is golden.

Dear Natalie Haynes, can you please rewrite all the greek mythology stories on your own way? It would be much appreciated. 😄 Although honestly, I will read whatever you write. Hoping for lots of more books!
